I am a southern transplant who fell in love with Northeast New England after moving to Maine for midwifery school in 2011. My partner Stephen and I have a 1790s homestead in Fryeburg, Maine, and my practice, Red Roots Midwifery is based out of North Conway, New Hampshire. Red Roots is a welcoming and inclusive practice that provides full-spectrum maternity care for folks and families seeking home birth midwifery care with a Certified Professional Midwife within an hour radius of the Mount Washington Valley, including Western Maine. Other services available include placental encapsulation, natural childbirth education, doula work, fertility awareness classes, and pre-conception counseling. My philosophy of care centers strongly around a belief in the power of bodies to birth babies naturally, and my holistic, individualized style of care pairs evidence-based practice with a deep trust in the undisturbed process of birth
