I
am Anji Church, of “Heart Thoughts Midwifery Service”. My practice
is in Southwestern New Hampshire and surrounding areas.
I am Brian’s wife
of 26 years, and the mother of our 4 sons ages 25,24,23,and 21. My years of raising
and home educating my family are where the heart of my Midwifery all began. I
am also now a grandmother of two!
I have studied
and worked as a Labor Doula in several hospitals as well as at home, also as
a Breastfeeding Educator, a Childbirth Educator, a Postpartum Doula and Baby
Nurse, as well as an Herbal Educator. I am also an Herbalist and Aromatherapist,
having completed a 2 year course and 1 year apprenticeship in Herbal education
through the Heart of Herbs School. At present I am continuing my herbal interest
under the tutelage of Aviva Jill Romm. I have a line of Herbal products that
focus on the family, women’s
health needs, and Midwifery supply herbals.
I studied Midwifery for three years before I completed my internship at The
Birth Cottage of Milford with Adrian Feldhusen NHCM, CPM and Tracey Bowman CNM,
ARNP. At the Cottage I was a part of all aspects of Midwifery care including
VBAC, Water Birth, Well Woman Care, and Home Birth. These are the foundations
of my skills and abilities.
I am an out of hospital midwife attending home births.. I also have privileges
at the “Monadnock
Birth Center” in West Swanzey; contact
me directly for more information about my services there.
I see my self as a resource, a teacher,
and a handmaiden. As a midwife I feel I have brought all of these abilities into
one concentration that I might have a part in the empowerment and betterment
of society.
