I've been practicing midwifery since 1993 out of my office in Barrington serving the Seacoast area of NH, northern Massachusetts and southern Maine.  I was born (at home, of course!) and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where home birth is the norm.  I received my practical training in Holland and worked there with 16 different midwives.  Both of my children were born in the comfort of my home.  My daughter (8 lbs.) was born in Amsterdam, Holland.  My son in my home in Barrington, NH, all 10 pounds of him.  To me, giving birth to my children was an enriching and very empowering experience, something I would like my clients and all women to experience, too.  My son proudly points out the room and spot where I gave birth to him and tells everyone that wants to hear that he was born right there.  For more information, don't hesitate to call or write.
