of the Midwives' Alliance of North America (MANA) representing all midwives in
the US, Canada and Mexico, serving one term as President of MANA. Her work
to improve maternity care in Moscow, USSR was featured on 20/20 and was written
in the Congressional Record. She was appointed by NH Governor Jeanne Shaheen

She co-authored a book with Elizabeth Davis titled, The Woman's Wheel of Life, Thirteen Achetypes of Women at Her Fullest Power (Viking Penguin, 1996) and published a two-part series on menopause called, Women of the Thirteenth Moon: the Baby Boomer's Survival Guide to Menopause. She has just finished writing her story as a midwife, titled Lady's Hands, Lion's Heart, Memoirs of a Radical Midwife (12 years from 1975 to 1987), which has been published and is available to order now!
Her

NH. She is on the faculty of Birthwise Midwifery School in Bridgton,
Maine, a nationally accredited program. Her hobbies are gardening, skiing
and fly-fishing. She raises medicinal herbs and free-range chickens and
has three wild grandsons.
The Longmeadow Midwives have over 26 years experience and have safely delivered 1,200 healthy, happy babies!
